About Megan

Above: First year student art, pen

Megan is a veteran educator who grew up with a mother who was a public school teacher, thus education has been a part of her world for most of her young and professional life.  Megan is a licensed teacher with over thirty years in some most amazing educational facilities. She has experience in both the public and private school environments and expertise teaching specifically in the special needs and autism community.

She is the author of a children's book that addresses loss and the bereavement process and who has taught art to the homeless community through the Red Cross. Megan has an entire body of work on the subject matter of loss and bereavement and has held workshops to supplement her book.

Megan believes creating art is inherent to being human, and all of us possess the ability to create meaningful art! She looks forward to sharing her teaching tips and some of what she has learned in her decades long career.

Megan's paintings have graced walls all over the United States since 2010. Inspired by light, color, and form, her work is a visual tale of her journey from the Green Mountain state of Vermont, through Texas, to her second forever home in New Mexico.
